The global animal feed market has a value of up to $611 billion. Initially we focus on serving the aqua feed market targeting a TAM of $12.5 billion.

To make these feeds, the most expensive ingredient is commonly based on its protein performance. Our hemp protein performs better on all metrics to soy and other comparable proteins it replaces.

We not only have a better ingredient, but through our use of Rare Earth OS (our proprietary operating system), we produce industrial quantities for customers more reliably and with a better price.

Our world-leading impact is recognised by an award at the International Aquaculture Awards, and nomination by the Nature Conservancy for Prince William’s Earthshot Prize.

Hemp Protein

Our ingredient combines complete protein functionality with a lipid fraction rich in essential fatty acids and associated phytochemicals. This biochemical profile makes it perfect for use across feed and food systems where performance, sustainability and traceability are critical.

Rare Earth offers an industrial supply of high-quality hemp protein. We primarily service the aqua feed market, and for customers also manufacturing for the adjacent pet food and cattle feed markets - we are able to meet your orders.

We have multi-year proprietary analysis of our hemp protein in feeds proving our better performance (which can be shared under NDA) and regulatory approvals for your use today.

The majority of our production is in Europe, with expansion to APAC and the Americas underway. Independent Life Cycle Analysis was carried out demonstrating that our product has the lowest carbon footprint of any comparable ingredient.

FAQs

  • Through multi-year trials and commercial testing, we have proven our protein performs better than soy (and other comparable ingredients) on all key metrics; including feed conversion ratio, palatability and digestibility.

  • We are focused on delivering to customers in Europe where we have full regulatory approvals. As we expand globally we focus on key regions for our customers, and have regulatory approvals for our next two major markets.

  • We work with established growers and processors to ensure that we can scale rapidly and reliably. Industrial production (i.e. a minimum of 100 tonnes) has taken place in several locations across Europe in the last 5 years.
